JA MotorSports claims INSSA 2011 Rookie of the Year honors

10/23/2011

JA MotorSports was awarded the Rookie of the year honors for the 2011 INSSA season. This is driver Travis Allen's second rookie of the year title in his short racing career. The first one came in 2006 when the team ran the ARCA West Late Model lites. That was Travis first year in a race car and now 6 years later; in the teams first year in V-8 Late Model's the team does it again and claims another Rookie of the year honors. With all the ups and downs of the year it was really good for the team to end on a positive note. Not only did the team take home the trophy for rookie of the year but the team also won the body re-skin package from five-star race bodies and fab-teck racing products.

JA MotorSports looks to claim rookie of the year title tonight on night one of the inaugural Spokane 200

9/16/2011

It all comes down to tonight; with the main highs and lows of the season JA MotorSports looks to cap off the season with a good finish and wrap up the Rookie of the Year title for driver Travis Allen. "You cant ask for a better scenario one race to decide the "ROY" title. It has been one of those years where you feel like if it wasn't for bad luck we'd had no luck at all; but the team has keep there nose to the grind stone and we just keep working on getting better and better every race out and I'm looking forward to running tonight and putting all that together." states Allen.

The rest of the weekends Spokane 200 comes down to how the team runs tonight. If the borrowed motor from "A" Racing team and the car perform good running the 200 isn't out of the question but first and for most the team has to focus on tonight's race and do what they started out the year to do finish the season in the top 10 in points and win rookie of the year title.

Also tomorrow night the JA MotorSports Pony stock will make its last appearance out at SCR for the year. Due to scheduling conflicts the team is unable to compete in the last two events of the year so tomorrow night is the night for the team to bounce back after a disappointing 1st Annual Pony Stock Nationals were mechanical woes took the team out at lap 45 and finishing a disappointing 20th place after running in the top 6 most of the night.

Qualifying tonight starts one hour early so get to the track early and enjoy the 1st annual Spokane 200

See you at the track

Tough night for JA MotorSports at Pony Stock Nations

9/11/2011

The Woes continue for the JA MotorSports team at the 1st annual Pony Stock Nations at Spokane County Raceway. What started out as a promising weekend ended short. The team started the weekend out with a 7th place qualifying effort and a 5th place finish in the Friday night qualifying race. Saturday morning the team came out with a bang being in the top 5 in the speed charts for morning practice and with a few minor adjustments the team was ready to make their way to the front when the green flag dropped for the 75 lap main. Starting 5th row inside the teams plans fell into place working their way to 2nd place in the first 5 laps. Than things took a turn for the worse and carburetor problems plagued the team for the rest of the night until it ended their night on lap 55. Looking to put the disappointing 20th place finish behind them the team looks the regroup for next weekends Saturday night show as the supporting class for the Spokane 200. Where driver Travis Allen looks to pull double duty driving the teams late model and pony stock.

See everyone at the track.

Ups and Downs continue for JA MotorSports

After a great IDAHO 200 where the team came in 8th in their first appearance in the prestige race. the teams luck took a turn on the bad side where in the last late model race the team got up in an early incident on lap 5 with minor damage to the car the team looked to rebound for a good finish but 2 laps later the model let go. All but ending the teams year and hurting the changes for the Rookie of Year title.

Fortunately for the team crew chief Terry Armstrong JR and "A" Racing team is leading the team a motor so the JA MotorSports team and finish the season up and end on a high note.

JA MotorSports back in victory lane at the hill

Friday night was a great night for JA MotorSports, as for the team ended up back in victory lane for the first time this year. Having qualified 5th that team was able to make a few adjustment to the Total Cosmetology Pony Stock and give driver Travis Allen the best opportunity to back up last weeks second place finish. Running in the top 5 for most the night Travis was able to use a caution to put him self in position to battle for the lead with Brendan Tarr and after running side by side for 5 laps the 80 was able to wrangle the lead away. Fending off a hard charging KC Garber and Andy Brown, Travis was able to bring home the win.

The team is looking forward to getting back to the 1/2 again but this time it will the in the DR Pepper Super Late Model for the Venom energy 100 next Saturday night at SCR

Driver Travis Allen started 12th out of the 14 car field and was able to negotiate his way through traffic and bring home a 5th place finish. "I cant describe how much fun it was running that race. Mother Nature holds out for the 1st practice of the season

3/12/2011

The rain stayed away just long enough for the JA MotorSports # 80 Chevy Impala to turn the first few laps of the season today at State Line Speedway. Driver Travis Allen was one of the three Super Late Models drivers that turned laps today, Todd and Braeden Havens being the other two. "We got every thing that we wanted to accomplish to accomplished, we weren't trying to set any land speed records today..." Allen says with a smile. "... just wanted to get the car out turn a few laps make sure everything was working and start getting myself in a good rhythm." The team is planning on attending the next few up coming practices to hone in a set up that hopefully will place the team down the right path this year.

JA MotorSports ready to kick it into gear for the up coming season

2/20/2011

NW Pro 4 Alliance Feb News letter

Travis Allen of Spokane Valley, WA. will kick off 2011 racing season driving just about everything on

wheels, but on Wednesday night he will be at Stateline Stadium Speedway in the #80 Ford Mustang compete

ting in the Fever Four Class.

Travis will also run his V-8 Super Late Model at Spokane Raceway Park and fill in for a couple of Pro4

drivers during the course of the year. Travis feels the Fever Four cars keeps him smooth as less horse

powers helps you learn your marks and you develop constancy in ones driving.

When ask how he felt about racing an entry level type car his reply was “you go out and race those guys

and tell me it’s entry level” Travis goes on to say “ there are some very good drivers in the Fever Four

cars and besides close racing it is fun!”.

Travis will also be available for Northwest Pro4 Alliance Rookie drivers Andy Campbell and Tyson Wilcox

to fill in for them in case they can not race for some reason. Travis filled in for Tyson at Stateline Stadium

Speedway last season and drove to a fifth in the B– Feature in what was the strongest Alliance field ever

assembled at the Post Falls track.

V-8 SLM, Pro4 and Fever Fours what an exciting summer of racing and everyone here at the Pro Four

Report wish Travis the best of luck and we hope you see the checkered flags. So start building that trophy

case and have fun. BC
